About project
We are looking for an experienced Golang Developer to join the team working on an innovative energy management platform, developed in partnership with a company specializing in smart grid and energy system solutions. As an integration partner for the local market, we are supporting them in building and scaling the core components of a system designed to handle up to 1 million smart meters reporting every 15 minutes (~96 million data points daily). The solution will be built using a cloud-based architecture, and must meet strict performance, availability (99.9%), and data privacy (OAuth2, encryption, GDPR-compliance) requirements.
What you’ll be doing
- Designing and developing new solution with a big influence on the chosen tech stack.
- Propose new solutions to encountered challenges in the project.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs to ensure the quality, stability, and maintainability of the code base.
- Collaborate with other developers from client side (localized in in the Netherlands) and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
You will be the best fit if you have
- Demonstrated proficiency in Golang (at least 3 years) and previous experience with other backend languages.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and related tools such as Docker, Kubernetes and cloud services (Azure, GCP, AWS).
- Experience working with relational and non-relational databases.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with different endpoint structures like gRPC, REST, SOAP, XML, JSON to connect with third-party API.
- Excellent command in English (at least B2+).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication and organizational skills.
- Focus on writing high-quality, stable, and easy-to-maintain code.
- Nice to have knowledge or previous experience with energy-related projects as well as experience with polish written technical documentation.
