Alve is connecting patients with physiotherapists
Telemedicine is reshaping the way healthcare is delivered, making it more accessible and efficient. Alve, a telemedicine platform, steps right into this space by focusing on connecting patients with physiotherapists, no matter where they are. We’ve helped to build a tool that supports patients in need of physiotherapy from the comfort of their homes.
Our client needed a platform that wasn’t just fast but also easy to use for both patients and therapists. It had to have real-time video chat for immediate consultations and be secure—after all, we’re talking about sensitive medical data. Privacy was non-negotiable.
On top of that, the platform needed specific features to support physiotherapy. A “Whiteboard” tool would allow physiotherapists to draw or demonstrate exercises, and both the patient and therapist would need their own private storage space to keep track of exercises and treatment history. It was important to create a great experience, whether someone was on their desktop or mobile device.

What we did
We faced the challenge of creating a telemedical platform for physiotherapy. Using our experience we have created a friendly, multiplatform (PWA) solution that meets the latest standards.
- The Platform allows text chat and video chat, which helps communication needed in physiotherapy.
- Implementation of data space (in the form of an internal disk), e.g. for patients’ medical data, as well as a Calendar allowing for simple planning of upcoming visits (with reminders).
- “Whiteboard“ function, a real-time drawing space for therapy.
- Implementation of encryption in accordance with medical standards imposed by the client.

- Thryve.health – a solution that organizes medical data from IoT devices, wearables and other locations,
- Stripe & Klarna (payment service) – enabling fast online payments,
- Apizee (video provider) – a platform offering simple and secure video conferencing,
- Friendly Captcha – a solution introducing a simple procedure of user identity verification based on proof-of-work,
- Min.io (storage) – easily scalable storage solution based on Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service
